Join us for a reflective and thought provoking Sunday as we turn our attention to Remembrance Day, war and more importantly PEACE. There are a variety of free events to attend:

10:30am Worship with Guest Preacher Rita Nakashima Brock, Ph.D.

Rev. Dr. Brock is a globally renowned theologian, writer and professor, currently teaching at Brite Divinity School. Her latest book is Soul Repair: Recovering from Moral Injury after War.

1:00-3:00pm Books of Remembrance & Open House

Come and spend time in the peace and quiet that our CMUC sanctuary provides and take in the unique and historic stained glass windows created as a memorial for peace after WWI. The Books of Remembrance will also be opened allowing individuals to find names of family members who gave their lives in the hope of peace.

7:00pm Public Lecture with Dr Rita Nakashima Brock

Our Remembrance Sunday concludes with a public lecture co-hosted with Vancouver School of Theology on “The Invisible Wounds of Trauma and Pathways to Recovery: With Rev. Dr. Rita Nakashima Brock”.
