CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

There are stubborn problems that plague many close relationships. Whether single or married there is a starting point that needs to be addressed in the hearts of all of us as relationships are part of life. Dr.Timothy Lane, husband, author, teacher, parent, and counselor will be guiding us towards our hearts when it comes to relationships. With his vast expertise he will be directing us towards our true assurance and the ultimate solution for long lasting relationship with one another.

Whether you are married or single this WHOLE weekend is for you.

The Thursday will be geared towards those presently single or again on there way towards singleness. We are all on that journey whether it be our present situation or through the loss of relationship or death – we all need help navigating singleness.

Like knowledge of singleness is helpful for all, so is the knowledge of marriage. After Thursday night, the following two evenings will consist of several sessions with Dr.Timothy Lane and will serve as a great guide for preparing the individual heart for future marriage and refreshing those currently married.

This is an open weekend to ALL so make sure to invite your friends.

SPEAKER BIO

Dr. Timothy S. Lane is the Founder and President of the Institute for Pastoral Care, a non-profit that equips local churches to care for their people, and Tim Lane & Associates, a counselling practice located in Peachtree City, GA. He is a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), having been ordained in 1991 and a member of Metro-Atlanta Presbytery. He has a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counselling.

Tim has authored Living Without Worry: How to Replace Anxiety with Peace, and co-authored How People Change and Relationships: A Mess Worth Making. He has written several mini-books including PTSD, Forgiving Others, Sex Before Marriage, Family Feuds, Conflict, and Freedom From Guilt.

He has experience in both campus ministry (University of Georgia, 1984-1987) and pastoral ministry where he served as a pastor in Clemson, SC from 1991 until 2001. Beginning in 2001 until 2013, he served as a counsellor and faculty at CCEF (Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation) in Philadelphia, PA. Beginning in 2007, he served as its Executive Director until 2013.

In 2014, Tim and his family re-located to his home state, Georgia, where he formed the non-profit ministry the Institute for Pastoral Care. He also began a counselling practice, Tim Lane & Associates. Both organizations seek to help the local church. His primary desire and commitment is to help pastors and leaders create or improve their ability to care for the people who attend their churches.

He continues to write, speak and travel both nationally and internationally. Tim is adjunct professor of practical theology at several seminaries where he teaches about pastoral care in the local church. Most recently, Tim has taught classes at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia as well as SEMBEQ in Montreal, Canada.

Tim and his wife, Barbara, live in Atlanta, GA. They married in 1989 and have four amazing children.
