The 2017 theme for the Evangelical Missiological Society is Engaging Theology, Theologians, and Theological Education from the Majority World. Our goal is to interact with majority world theological leaders as well as engage their writings from a missiological perspective. This will include a consideration of contextualized pastoral / theological education in majority world contexts.

We are pleased to have Dr Wafik Wahba, Associate Professor of Global Christianity at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, as the plenary speaker presenting on “Christian Missional Responsibility Towards Muslims.”

Dr. Wahba has taught Theology, Global Christianity, Cultural Contextualization and Islam in the USA, Middle East, Africa, South East Asia and South America. He is an ordained minister who has pastored Churches in Chicago, IL and Toronto, Canada and he is currently writing a book entitled: Christianity and Islam: Global Perspectives.

Each of the centres will broadcast the plenary sessions from Tyndale and have a number of papers presented unique to each centre.  ALSO screening at some centres: the Regent College documentary Between a Shoe and the Roof, an exploration of the interchange between the Gospel and cultures.  See the trailer.
