“Science and religion don’t mix.” Many skeptics, especially those who style themselves as the New Atheists, are fond of chanting this mantra. The likes of Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris are convinced that religion, the dying ghost of the Dark Ages, is fleeing toward its utter destruction before the blinding light of reason and science. However, this is far from the actual dialogue taking place in academia between science and religion. Today, the scientific community is more open to the idea of a transcendent Creator than ever before.

This July, RZIM, in partnership with Apologetics Canada, will be bringing out some high-profile speakers to the Vancouver area. Of note is Dr. John Lennox. Dr. Lennox is Professor of Mathematics at University of Oxford and Fellow in Mathematics and Philosophy of Science. He is a committed Christian who also holds advanced degrees in mathematics, science and philosophy. In popular apologetics circles, he is known for his debates with New Atheists like Richard Dawkins and the late Christopher Hitchens.

Dr. Lennox will be addressing the question “Has Science Buried God?” at Christian Life Assembly at 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 12. This event is meant to serve as an evangelistic outreach. Invite your friends, co-workers, and family members who are skeptical about the Christian faith. Please spread the word on your Facebook timeline, Twitter, email contacts and other channels you may have access to by sharing the link:
