The story of Jesus’ flight to Egypt, recorded in Matthew 2, tells us that Jesus himself began his life in a situation quite similar to the situation that many undocumented children at countless global borders face today. It is both amazing and humbling that we worship a God who became man in the form of a child refugee.
At this special ‘Talks with Tom’ breakfast, we are inviting three people who have come to Canada as refugees to be a part of our panel discussion. Tom will interview a recent refugee, someone who has arrived in Canada about 5 years ago and also a person who has lived in Canada for over 20 years. We will be privileged to hear first-hand about their experiences in Canada.
