Join us for a day-long retreat to reflect on the role of spiritual practice in non-profit, advocacy, justice, and social work. This retreat, led by Judy Graves and City in Focus’s President Tom Cooper, is tailored to all those who either work, volunteer, or have a deep interest in any of these fields.

We will ponder the challenges of devoting one’s time or career to fighting for justice amidst the world’s injustices, and we will discover how spiritual practice can ground, rejuvenate, and help us in continuing our work.

Throughout her 33-year career with the City of Vancouver, Judy Graves served as a tireless advocate on behalf of those marginalized by homelessness. The recipient of numerous awards, including the 2014 City in Focus Award, Judy has spoken at length about the importance of spiritual practice in her life-long work.
