Preceding the Voices Together event, we will be gathering outside the Pacific Coliseum close to where people are preparing to go inside. We will be holding a short lament liturgy for Canada’s 150+ years of colonization and our (the church’s) role in the genocide and systemic oppression of indigenous peoples.
We feel that for the 150 celebrations, especially as the church, we need to respond with care to the results of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
