Course description:

Someone once said that the secret of effective ministry, and in particular, effective preaching, is “to serve out of being at rest in the Rest of God.” What does that means? How do we do it? How do we help others do it?

In this seminar we will work our way through Hebrews 3-4, where the author makes the great claim, “there remains a rest for the people of God,” and gives the great exhortation, “be diligent to enter that rest.” “Come to Me, all who are weary and have over-burdened yourselves, and I will rest you.”

About Dr. Darrell Johnson:

Recently, Darrell Johnson served as Senior Minister of First Baptist Church, Vancouver.  Before joining First Baptist in 2009, he was an Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Regent College in Vancouver.
