Empty Tomb and flower
Is it True?
In the 21st Century can we believe in the story of empty tombs, discarded burial linens, and life raised from the dead? Can we celebrate without our fingers crossed behind our backs? This Sunday let the power of the Spirit, the community of doubting believers, the movement of beautiful music all collude to move you beyond what we can ‘know’ and into what we can trust. And intuit. And poke and prod and wonder about. Join in the celebration, revel in the mystery.
There will be egg painting for the children, grand trumpet, cello and choral music, a Hallelujah Chorus for anyone who would like to sing. Come by 9:30 if you’d like to be part of the Hallelujah Choir. And everyone else be on time if you don’t want to miss anything – there won’t be announcements!
Tomorrow, Good Friday, take the first step into the journey from passion to celebration by joining us at 11:00 at Shaughnessy United Church.
And come out and hear the Centennial Choir and the Chamber Orchestra of Dunbar Heights United Church perform Mozart’s Requiem on Good Friday at 7 pm at Dunbar Heights United. Admission by donation. 3525 West 24th Avenue.
