Comedy evening with Kate Bruce. Kate’s PhD is in preaching and imagination, and her most recent book is Wrestling with the Word: Preaching on Tricky Texts (SPCK). She is often sought out as a preacher and a teacher of preaching with young and new preachers and those seeking to further refine their craft. Kate has an interest in stand-up comedy and writes and performs her own material.
Kate Bruce was Chaplain at Van Mildert and Trevelyan Colleges at Durham University and Associate Priest at St. Oswald’s Church, Durham. She is now Chaplain of St. John’s College, Cranmer Hall at Durham University. Alongside Robert Warren, Kate is the co-author of the Lent courses Life Calling and Life Source, as well as an author of several books.
