Shortly after the United Nations declared June 20th World Refugee Day, World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) declared the two Sundays falling on either side of World Refugee Day to be observed as World Refugee Sunday.
World Refugee Sunday is an opportunity for local churches, small groups and others to demonstrate their common concern for the welfare and protection of the world’s forcibly displaced people. WEA partners and the Refugee Highway Partnership (RHP) have developed the resources on this site to help you promote and observe this important day.
We also encourage churches and individuals to use the hashtags #WorldRefugeeSunday and #RefugeeHighway to share what they are doing, in order to encourage and inspire others to join.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have a resource you think might be appropriate and helpful.
