    1. May the Almighty God bless you abundantly for the Gospel Mission to Uganda through this work I got saved and called to ministry since 1982. God bless so much Glad Tidings Ministry.

      Pastor Nzanzu Joshua

    2. I guess I’m now a “senior” in this aspect. I started coming to Glad Tidings ‘Temple’ back in 1949. I was barely two years old then and continued to be a part of the church more or less until the 1980s. (Had my own ‘issues’ which I didn’t handle too well. At THAT point, I drifted for a spell.)

But when I was ON TRACK with God’s will – I DID have some wonderful opportunities within the music realm. All through my happy years with GT – I knew that most of the ministry leaders were dedicated Christians who inspired others to be also.

I believe it is DEAD WRONG to criticize the current ministry of Glad Tidings (almost cursing them, as one of the commenters did) because of the choice to obey current “fellowship-gathering rules” that evidently apply to our churches.

Instead, let us pray – in faith – for God to heal our land as we in humility seek His face and live righteously.

    3. I am extremely disappointed that this church is closed and not having services and is acting in fear. Aren’t Christians supposed to be the light in the world, not hiding their light under a bushel? Are they not to be salt? Fear is a spirit to be defeated. Fear is faith contaminated.

How then are you different from the rest of the world if you are supposed to be the body of Christ but you are acting like the rest of the world? Satan is loving this and you are playing into his hands

God inhabits the praises of his people and you you are cheating your members by not worshipping together, celebrating, even in reduced numbers. Why not have several short services a week where people can sign up to attend. People are in need physically, mentally, and spiritually. Where are YOU?

      • It is very sad that while bars are already opened, churches that are supposed to be the places of worship and especially in these dark times of COVID-19 [are not]. We need all the gatherings and prayers possible to defeat the evil that the world is experiencing right now.

I just don’t understand why this is happening among the Christian community in Vancouver. I know of some churches that are having small gatherings of people on Sundays with at least three services a day. You should follow their example.

    4. I USED TO ATTEND GLAD TIDINGS CHURCH AT LEAST 30 YEARS AGO. I WAS THERE WHEN JIM PATTISON AND HIS FAMILY WERE ATTENDING. THEY USED TO SIT A COUPLE OF SEATS IN FRONT OF ME IN CHURCH.

I MOVED AWAY TO LIVE IN SURREY AND HAVE NEVER MOVED BACK TO VANCOUVER.

ARE THERE ANY OTHERS FROM THAT TIME PERIOD AROUND?

      GOD BLESS,
      LAYNA.

      • I was there from 1994 to 1997. The pastor was from Texas I think and had a son whose wife led the worship, a young couple. There was another pastor from New Zealand. I cannot remember anyone’s names though. I’d really like to find out how certain people I knew are doing now, they helped me quite a lot.

      • Yes I went there as well when Jim Pattinson went there. I now live in Langley so I attend the Brookswood Church when it was open but sadly Covid has closed many churches. So sad.

        Carol

      • I remember Bessie and Tom Sweazy. They are living in the US as far as I know. Do not have their contact but have a friend who does. hn
