The President, the Board of Administration and the Senate of Carey invite you to celebrate the 2015 Graduation of Carey Theological College and the Carey Institute. The ceremony is to be held Sunday June 28th at 3 PM in the beautiful First Baptist Church in downtown Vancouver.

We will be presenting our  honorary doctorate to Dr. Darrell Johnson for his contributions toward excellence in service of the church and teaching and preaching for the whole people of God.

Darrell Johnson is the Senior Minister at First Baptist Church Vancouver.  He has served as an Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Regent College, as well as an Adjunct Professor of Preaching for the Doctor of Ministry Program at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.  In addition to teaching and preaching, Darrell is the author of several books. His major contributions include: Discipleship on the Edge, Fifty Seven Words That Change the World, Experiencing the Trinity, and The Glory of Preaching. Darrell and his wife Sharon have raised four children, and are now enjoying life with their eight grandchildren.

Darrell is known for his passion to be in the word, in community, and in service of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Darrell has been involved with the Carey Institute since 2011, leading preaching seminars and mentoring many of our pastors, while training the next generation of leaders in Christocentric faith.

Following the ceremony, there will be a light reception at First Baptist Church, Vancouver.
