Good lives for animals: biology meets theology

David Fraser is professor in the Animal Welfare Program at the University of British Columbia. He will discuss how changes in beliefs about animals have led to the current crisis of confidence over our use of animals in food production, science and other fields, and how the new field of “animal welfare science” is providing an animal-centred understanding of how to improve their lives.
