Join Ray Bakke and Jonathan Bird will be guiding a tour tour of Vancouver’s inner and outer neighbourhoods, May 12, 3:30 pm–6:30 pm. The tour will explore the distinct histories and personalities of each of these neighbourhoods, and argue that these unique characteristics must be considered for effective incarnational mission.
Their route and commentary will complement Dr David’s Ley’s Postmodern Urban Spaces Tour in July, giving an overview of Vancouver’s character while emphasizing the interplay between neighbourhood context and models of being the local church.
The tour is free for those enrolled in Dr. Bakke’s summer course, “Urban Immersion: Mission Theology in the 21st Century,” and $35 for those not enrolled in the class.
The tour takes place after the conclusion of the Pastors and Leader Conference on May 12, and complements the material covered in the conference, although registration in the bus tour is not included in Pastors Conference registration.
Limited seats are available, so register soon.
