Please join us for a beautiful evening of good-humour and community at our 2nd Annual Jesuit Scotch Tasting Reception!
BC JESUIT SCOTCH TASTING RECEPTION
Thursday, January 11, 2018 | 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver
John Paul II Pastoral Centre
4885 St John Paul II Way, Vancouver, BC
A knowledgeable scotch expert will encourage guests to nose, taste and learn about some of the world’s finest whiskys and enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres. This is not a fundraiser, but rather an opportunity to meet Jesuits and other prominent guests from the Greater Vancouver community.
Our topic for the evening is “the next 50 years”, as speakers Peter Bisson and John McCarthy will briefly share their thoughts on what this next half-century might mean for the Church, the environment, and the Jesuit community.
The Jesuits have a long courageous history of uniquely engaging society: they have devoted their lives to promote social justice, inspire the youth through education, and have assisted people in their private and public lives to cultivate a deeper and more reasoned faith.
Note: For those who do not drink scotch, wine and sparkling water options are also available at the event.
