About the 2014 Church Leaders Forum
Churches are shaking in the midst of massive change, both in and outside their walls.
At this afternoon church leaders forum you’ll gain a bird’s-eye view of Canada’s new cultural context and a different lens through which to re-frame the Gospel.
Using the latest Canadian statistics and church research, Dr. Don Moore, World Vision’s National Church Ambassador, will paint the picture of our new cultural and religious landscape. Bruxy Cavey, author and Teaching Pastor at The Meeting House, will then challenge our thinking on how to not only present but also live out the Gospel given these new realities.

meet the speakers
Bruxy Cavey, author of best-selling End of Religion (NavPress, 2007) is Teaching Pastor of The Meeting House, one of the largest and most innovative churches in Canada. Their tagline is “A Church for People who aren’t into Church.”
Together with Tim Day, Senior Pastor, and a committed staff, they lead a multi-site church with communities around the world who share the same vision: to create safe places for spiritual seekers to ask questions and develop a thoughtful faith.
Bruxy’s engaging style, scholarly rigour, and refreshing honesty make him a popular guest on television, radio, and at university campuses around the world.
Dr Don Moore formerly served as Professor of Education and the founding Dean of the Briercrest Seminary in Saskatchewan. Prior to his current role as the National Church Ambassador with World Vision Canada, he served as the Vice President for Leadership Development and Care with The Navigators of Canada.
In addition, Don led a national movement of more than 120 leaders in Vision 2000 Canada under the auspices of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. Besides pastoring four churches, he has led nearly a dozen international development teams to various parts of the world including Venezuela, Austria, Canary Islands and Ecuador.
Don did his graduate degree at Wheaton College in Illinois and earned his PhD in Education from Michigan State University. He has written two books and numerous articles for publication.
