Although churches in North America face many cultural and missional challenges, we have good reasons to be hopeful about our future. This forum will feature an interview with C. Christopher Smith, co-author of the recent book Slow Church, about the future of church life and how congregations will need to change in order to thrive in the coming decades.

C. Christopher Smith lives on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis, Illinois, where he serves as Senior Editor of The Englewood Review of Books. Chris, his wife Jeni, and their family are part of the Englewood Christian Church community, and he is also the author of a number of books, including most recently How the Body of Christ Talks: Recovering the Practice of Conversation in the Church. Find him online here.

This lecture is being held in conjunction with a Pastors Workshop earlier in the day. Find out more about that event here.

This event is co-sponsored by Regent Exchange: Churches for the Common Good and the Office of Church Involvement.
