Youth Leaders & Pastors of Greater Vancouver,
On Wednesday June 25th, Westside Church has offered their amazing space to bring the youth of Vancouver together to worship Jesus. We’ve been doing a monthly worship night called “Chapel” at John Oliver High School in East Van for over a year now, and we’ve seen many youth groups coming together to see God move powerfully through corporate worship. For the final Chapel of the school year, we felt God calling us pray for a bigger space to allow the youth of this city to stand united in downtown Vancouver.
THE VISION
While our prayer is not specifically for large numbers, we are praying that we as leaders will unite to show our kids and our city that God is moving! There won’t be any famous bands or world-renowned speakers, and while those things are fantastic, in this case their absence is actually quite purposeful. To see an organic movement of revival in our city, Jesus is all we can truly rally around! That being said, productional, musical and communicative excellence is required and pursued. The Chapel promo video sums things up quite succinctly:
Romans 15: 5-6 “May the God of endurance and encouragement allow you to live in harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together with one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
