Importance of Staying Up-to-Date with Vaccinations with Dr. Howard Njoo, Canada’s Deputy Chief Public Health Officer, and Faith Leaders.
The Public Health Agency of Canada would like to invite you to a virtual information session and dialogue about protecting our communities through vaccination against COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses with Dr. Howard Njoo, Canada’s Deputy Chief Public Health Officer. This session will include brief remarks from Dr. Njoo as well as an opportunity to ask questions with the following faith leaders:
• Pandit Roopnauth Sharma, Hindu Federation, President Canadian Multifaith Federation
• Moira McQueen, Canadian Catholic Bioethics Institute, University of Toronto
• Rabbi Reuben Poupko, Canadian Rabbinic Caucus
• Imam Imran Ally, Canadian Council of Imams
This event has been planned in collaboration with the Canadian Interfaith Conversation, the Canadian Council of Churches, and the Canadian Multifaith Federation, in an effort to respond to community leaders’ need for timely, credible information around COVID-19 vaccines, respiratory illness and protective personal health measures over the coming months.
Please note that this session will be offered in English with simultaneous French interpretation available.
