Samaritan’s Purse, the Christian disaster relief organization that helped Abbotsford residents after the catastrophic November 2021 flood, is returning the community to offer training to anyone who wants to help other disaster victims.
The free event takes place March 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Gateway Community Church, 2884 Gladys Ave.
At this one-day event, we will…
1. Answer the who, what, where, when, and how of volunteering with Samaritan’s Purse.
2. Provide resources for interacting with people affected by trauma.
3. Discuss how to be spiritually and emotionally prepared to serve.
The goal is to have interested Lower Mainland residents trained and ready to serve whenever disaster hits, either locally or across Canada.
Please visit www.SamaritansPurse.ca/CDR-training to register.
