Praying Together: A Christian Response to the War in Ukraine

As attention understandably turns to the tragedy developing in Israel and Gaza and Christians seek to respond, we note as well that Russia’s war on Ukraine is now in its twentieth month and there seems no end in sight.

The Canadian Council of Churches, The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada and the Peace & Reconciliation Network are inviting you to an online hour of prayer as Canadian Christians on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. Eastern.

In Canada and around the world the war in Eastern Europe, along with other conflicts like the violence in the Middle East, continues to cause suffering and breed division. We believe, as Canadian Christians, that we must pray now for peace and seek God’s leading and intervention for what seems impossible at the moment.

The CCC, EFC and PRN collaboratively hosted two “Ukraine, Canada and the Church” sessions in the summer. These two sessions can be accessed here:
