St. Andrew’s welcomes Mimosa as our musical guest at this month’s Jazz Vespers! Mimosa is a French/English jazz quintet based in Vancouver. They draw on jazz, Brazilian samba, French 60s pop and Cabaret music to create their own unique sound, and have performed across Canada. The quintet is made up of Rebecca Shoichet (vocals), Anna Lumiere (piano/accordion), Karen Graves (sax/flute/vocals), Conrad Good (bass) and Bernie Arai (drums). Mimosa has just released a new (and fourth) CD, Bien ensemble/Good Together.
Fun fact: 2024 is Mimosa’s 25th anniversary as a band. We’re excited to be part of that milestone. The beautiful music will be woven with reflections from Rev. Judith. Our monthly Jazz Vespers is by donation, and open to all. See you there!
