Did you know that over 100 million people in the world have been forcibly displaced from their homes? Where do they go? How do they survive?
A Walk in the Refugee’s Shoes is an interactive experience designed by Journey Home, our partner organization, to deepen our understanding of the journey of refugee claimants.
Guided by a personalized story, participants move through five stations that explore key aspects of the refugee experience. Along the way, you will learn who a refugee is, consider the difficult decisions refugees face, and reflect on the many challenges of rebuilding life in a new country. The experience includes hands-on participation, thoughtful discussion, a time for debrief, and space for reflection and prayers.
The event is hosted by the St. John’s Refugee Committee, and all are invited to participate.
