- Week 2: [Feb 19] Spiritual issues of callers, religiously diverse callers, and volunteer self-care.
- Week 3: [Feb 26] Listening, Communication
- Week 4: [Mar 5] Caring Confrontation, The Caller
- Week 5: [Mar 12] Mental Health, Personality Disorders, and Brain Injuries
- Week 6: [Mar 19] Crisis Intervention, Suicide Intervention
- Week 7: [Mar 26] Addictions, Abuse, and Anger Management
- Week 8: [April 2] Issues Youth Face, Grief, Loneliness
- Week 9: [April 9] Mentoring and practice taking calls or chats with a trainer at your side.
Sessions focus on how to show emotional and spiritual support for people struggling with diverse issues. Week 1 guides you in applying, completing important forms, and moving toward taking calls and chat messages. Meeting online with other trainees connects you with people with a passion similar to your own.
After completion of training, participants will qualify to serve as a phone or chat support volunteer with our Canada-wide ministry. Volunteering is not required to attend training.
Volunteers need to be committed Christians, at least 19 years of age and residing in Canada.
