The Cascadia bioregion – British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon – has long been at the forefront of cultural shifts occurring
throughout North America, particularly as it pertains to religious
institutions, ideas, and practices. At this special book launch for
Religion at the Edge: Nature, Spirituality, and Secularity in the Pacific Northwest (UBC, 2022), contributors will present some of the
key findings from their research and take your questions.
Paul Bramadat is the director of the Centre for Studies in Religion and
Society at UVic. Patricia O’Connell Killen is a professor emerita and
faculty fellow at Pacific Lutheran University. Sarah Wilkins-Laflamme is
an associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Legal Studies at the University of Waterloo. We will also be joined by other contributors to the volume.
