Meet Our Guest Speaker:
Alex Chan is the Founder and CEO of Motion Grey, an E-commerce company based in Vancouver. Alex and his business partner, Andy, were two Civil Engineering students when they started their company in 2017. Alex dropped out of UBC, and the two bootstraped the company to an enterprise presently generating $17M in annual revenue globally. In 2024 Alex was selected Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the TOP 30 under 30 in 2024 by BC Business. Alex’s current role in Moton Grey is centred on inorganic acquisitions, with one highlight being their recent $59M acquisition of a 120-unit brand-new rental building in Victoria in partnership with a local real estate developer.
