Human sex- trafficking is pandemic and local. Awareness of this important gender-equality and human rights issue, particularly as these issues disproportionately affect Canada’s First Nations people, will encourage prayer and informed advocacy among God’s people at First Baptist Church.
Learn how disciples of Jesus Christ can not only equip and safeguard their children and youth, but also pray, expose, and stop this crime. Youth are encouraged to attend with their parents. You are encouraged to invite concerned family, friends and neighbours from other churches.
The Speaker:
Mrs. Cathy Peters, a former inner-city secondary school teacher, has been raising awareness on all levels of government, police departments and boards, in schools and universities and in churches for the last 6 years. A passionate, well-informed advocate, her work has not only been recognized, she has also been awarded numerous awards from RCMP and police units, and local communities.
