Climate Vigil BC

Climate change is the greatest moral challenge of our time, and we need the church and our political leaders to act. That’s why we will be gathering to invite Christians across BC to take Jesus at his word when he tells us, “You are the light of the world” (Matt. 5:14). We will watch a global simulcast to hear from global Christian leaders and listen to original songs written and recorded for the campaign by artists like Jon Guerra and Liz Vice. Then we will light candles to offer a public witness to our prayers. We will lift up the victims of the climate crisis in prayer, confess and lament our complicity in their suffering, and resolve to turn our prayers into ongoing action in our community and in the world.
