ABOUT THE LECTURE

Scripture affirms that God’s power is uniquely prominent within people that society typically regards as weak. Yet our human tendency is to disregard those who might not fit society’s images of success. Let’s explore what the Bible teaches about God’s power and consider some practical implications of recognizing that there is spiritual might from the margins in our world.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dennis R. Edwards is Dean and VP of Church Relations at North Park Theological Seminary and former Associate Professor of New Testament. He has three decades of urban pastoral ministry experience in the US. His works include Humility Illuminated: The Biblical Path Back to Christian Character (2023).
