Peter Ash is a passionate Canadian philanthropist and entrepreneur, who also has albinism. As a result of his disability, Christian faith, and business background, Peter is motivated to do whatever he can to provide resources and assistance to people with albinism who have become victims of discrimination in Tanzania, throughout Africa and worldwide. He is the founder and CEO of Under the Same Sun, a charity dedicated to helping people with albinism overcome often deadly discrimination through education and advocacy.

How does our view of diversity affect our city, our politics, and our community life? How does our faith impact our view and behaviour within our diverse city? How does our faith help us to dismantle false stereotypes and divisions in our society?

If you were with us for our first discussion around this topic in February, you will have heard some amazing insight from June Francis on how diversity has impacted and enriched her journey. Her story is only one of many that should be shared.

Join us on April 12 as we gather to hear Peter’s story of overcoming adversity and fighting for those who are faced with unimaginable oppression.
