It is time again to plan for our annual Christmas Project. This year we will be packing and wrapping 3700 gift boxes and about 450 food hampers for our adopted schools. This will take an army of volunteers!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
#1 – INVENTORY COUNT – December 1 – 9:30 – until finished (approximately 2-4 hours)
Location: City Dream Centre Warehouse – #29 – 19257 Enterprise Way, Surrey. Street parking only as all spaces in complex are reserved.
This is most appropriate for adults and/or teens.
#2 – CHRISTMAS GIFT BOX PACKING – December 11 – 4 sessions:
Location: North Surrey High School – 15945 96th Avenue, Surrey
SESSION #1 – LOAD IN AND SET UP – 8:00 a.m. until finished (2-4 hours). For safety reasons this is most appropriate for adults and/or teens.
SESSION #2 – GIFT BOX PACKING – 2 p.m. until finished (2-3 hours). Adults, teens and children welcome. All children must be supervised by an adult.
SESSION #3 – BUILDING THE PALLETS – 2 p.m. until finished (3 – 5 hours). This is appropriate for volunteers that can lift, bend and are proficient with shrink wrap. For safety reasons, this task is not appropriate for children.
SESSION #4 – TEAR DOWN AND CLEAN UP – 4 p.m. until finished (approximately 1 hour). Adults, teens and children welcome. All children need to be supervised by an adult.
#3 – CHRISTMAS HAMPER PACKING – DECEMBER 12 – 3 sessions:
Location: Sonrise Church – 5588 188th Street, Surrey
SESSION #1 – LOAD IN – 8 a.m. until finished (1-2 hours) – for safety reasons this is most appropriate for adults and/or teens.
SESSION #2 – SET UP – 1 p.m. until finished (1-2 hours) – Adults, teens and children welcome.
SESSION #3 – HAMPER ASSEMBLY – 6:30 p.m. until finished – Adults, teens and children welcome. Children will need to be working with an adults to ensure that the hampers are carefully packed.
#4 – BAKING – DECEMBER 12 – DROP OFF BETWEEN 9 a.m. AND 5 p.m.
Location: Sonrise Church – 5588 188th Street, Surrey
Home baking is a special inclusion in the Christmas hampers. We hope to include one dozen cookies or squares to each hamper. That means we need 450 packaged dozens of cookies or bars. If you are able to help please let me know and how many dozens you are able to donate. This is a great activity for community groups or families!
