About the Workshop
Join us for a virtual workshop designed for parents and caregivers of a child (of any age) struggling with emotions and/or behaviors, including mental health issues. Learn new tips and tricks to make life a little easier for everyone. Active or passive involvement are equally welcome – to your comfort. Demonstrations will also be provided for a number of common scenarios that can be a challenge to navigate (like refusal to engage, resistance to cooperate, feelings of hopelessness and even angry outbursts).
Inspired by Emotion-Focused Family Therapy — and with a healthy dose of humor — this evidence-based workshop will introduce practical skills to strengthen relationships, increase cooperation and respond to strong emotional reactions, including expressions of worry, anger, hopelessness, even silence. Caregivers will also be supported to identify and work through co-parenting challenges most often encountered along the way.
This online variation of the 2-day Caregiver Workshop allows space for learning and integration between each session.
