Enriching: The Single Life Weekend

The Adventure Weekend format in Whistler fits like a “hand and glove” for Jack De Bruyn. For more than 30 years he has lead countless climbers and skiers to the top of major peaks in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. He has lead an expedition across Bylot Island in the Eastern Arctic. He related the physical adventure to life’s journey of adventure. Now, he and his wife Joy have partnered together and they have a passion for those who happen to be single. Together for a dozen or more years they have ministered to singles. Within that time they were the leaders of a successful Singles Group at a large Church in Abbotsford, BC. They also organized and produced eight Annual Christian Singles Conference on the west coast. But several months ago they recognized the need to change the format of the past Conferences. With new thinking they have developed a brand new format which have become known as Christian Singles Adventure Weekend. In addition to the above, on a daily basis, they provide encouragement on Facebook. The address is “Northwest Christian Singles”.

For the Weekend in Whistler they are the main organizers and producers. But they quickly mention, “We are truly blessed by the many volunteers who have stepped forward with enthusiasm and offered to come on board to make a difference for those who will be attending this amazing Weekend”. Life truly is an adventure!
