How do we listen to those who are different from us?
Listening well and holding space for others in a world where we are increasingly defined by our differences is becoming ever more crucial.
Nearly a decade ago, the Germinating Conversations initiative began nurturing relationships between Manitoba food growers and eaters by paying close attention to the art of listening well.
Germinating Conversations, the book, emerged from that initiative. Join us on June 3rd to celebrate many years of dialogue and relationship building, as reflected in this new book. Participants of Germinating Conversations will speak to their involvement in the initiative over the years and imagine possibilities for future dialogue and engagement with the new book.
You can purchase a copy of the book through CommonWord Bookstore and Resource Centre.
This event is supported through a partnership between A Rocha Canada, Canadian Foodgrains Bank, Canadian Mennonite University, and Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba.
