Join a group of scholars to explore connections and influences between Christmas and Hanukkah on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 6:30-8:30pm at Beth Israel, 989 W 28th Ave Vancouver. Guest speakers:
- Dr. Jay Eidelman is a writer and lecturer. His work examines connections between political thought and modern Jewish culture.
- Dr. Gregg E. Gardner is an Associate Professor at UBC. He teaches and researches ancient Judaism and has published a book on the history of charity in Jewish thought.
- Rev. Nick Meisl teaches courses on the Bible to college students and is involved in high school and parish ministry.
