A family-friendly walking and cycling event to raise money for refugee families at New Hope

Saturday, September 17 – on-site at New Hope

Did you know that riding your bike or going for a walk could change someone’s life?

When you participate in Hope in Motion as a cyclist, walker or donor, you are changing someone’s life by welcoming refugees to their new home at New Hope.  Your participation provides clean, safe and affordable housing for refugees for their first 18 months in Canada.  In addition you provide a community of care to surround refugees as they adjust to life in Canada.

Hope in Motion is New Hope’s largest fundraising event, and together we have a goal to raise $40,000 in 2022!

When: Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 8:30am

Where: New Hope Community Services (start/finish location) – 13478 Hilton Road

Who: YOU!!  Sign up as a team captain and recruit your friends to your team.  Or, sign up as a participant and join an existing team.  How much can you and your team raise?!

What: You can walk 5km, cycle 10km or 25km

How: Sign up below!

How Much: There is no registration fee to participate, but we need your help to raise funds for New Hope!  Raise a minimum of $150 and you will receive some Hope in Motion swag!

Schedule

8:15 – Registration/check in
9:00 – Opening Ceremonies
9:10 – 25km start time
9:25 – 10km ride/5 km walk start time
10:30-12:00 – Snacks and games in back lot with New Hope residents, end of event
