We’re looking forward to having this group back in the house for our evensong this week. Dave, especially, as co-director of the Fort Langley Jazz and the Arts Festival (www.fortlangleyjazzfest.com) has been very supportive and encouraging of our work at Brentwood with the jazz community.

Music is a powerful medium to express a spiritual message. When you’re playing and preparing music, you get to know a great deal about the musician that wrote the music and their insights. It’s almost a visceral feeling. I’m terrifically aware of how composers work to develop their voices. When you are performing their works, you are in their presence.
