The Canadian Council of Churches and World Council of Churches (WCC) invite all to a conversation on 5 December on the one ecumenical movement in Canada and the world.
The in-person and online event, part of the commemoration of the Canadian Council of Churches’ 80th anniversary, will offer an opportunity to engage with friends, communities, and ecumenical networks on the themes of unity, faith, justice, peace, and reconciliation.
The conversation will be held at Trinity College Chapel in Toronto as well as online. Reflections will be shared by Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay, WCC general secretary; Rt. Rev. Dr Carmen Lansdowne, moderator of the United Church of Canada, and Leah Reesor-Keller, transitional executive director for KAIROS: Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives.
“Curious about what gives life to the one ecumenical movement in Canada and the world?” said Pastor Peter Noteboom, Canadian Council of Churches general secretary. “Join us virtually to mark 80 years of unity and diversity.”
