This panel shares personal experiences of authors who have not only continued given voice to historically marginalized and underrepresented communities, but also overcoming fear and hesitation that is required to become a published author. In resisting easy tropes of stereotyping their intersectional identities, these writers in their own ways declaire their wills to be free through their writing. This panel explore the perspective of the Asian North American literary tradition and on the craft of writing and storytelling and the unique voice these writers bring to the page. Moderated by Julia Lin (author of Miah and Shadows of the Crimson Sun), the panel is followed by a Q&A with the audience.
