A United Effort To Show Our Love For The Tri-Cities!
Serving:
What serving entails :
Serving at Love My City Week can mean a wide variety of things. The needs of the city will vary based on the location. Some examples will be cleaning local parks, local cemeteries, and supporting local shelters. There’ll be events at varying locations throughout the Tricities for the entire week of July the 14th until the 21st. See our events page for a full list of what’s going on and where you can serve.
Celebration:
The nitty gritty
On Saturday the 21st we are throwing a HUGE PARTY for everyone involved in the project. Including friends, families and beyond. The event starts at 7 in the Ampitheatre at LaFarge lake in Coquitlam. There will be an awesome comedian and a few awesome local bands playing. It’ll be family friendly so bring the whole crew! More information about who’s playing below:
Leland Klassen
Starting off at amateur nights and seedy bars Leland decided right from the beginning that he would remain clean despite what everyone else was doing and as a result over the last 16 years Leland has become recognized as Canada’s premier clean comedian.
Guest Openers
This fantastic group of musicians will be playing classic songs about love in the theme of the week. They’ve been playing regular shows together every sunday for a number of years and are coming together for our celebration with the public.
The Tourist Company
The Tourist Company has outright rejected the idea of being confined to the limits of one genre or sound. Chalk it up to living in Vancouver that this eclectic group feel far from settled. The group has toured multiple times across Canada, sharing the stage with several of Canada’s elite rock and alternative groups including We Are The City, Dear Rouge and Fast Romantics, garnering extensive radio airplay.
Headliners
The headlining band will be announced in the coming weeks, we can’t tell you who they are yet . . . but we’re really excited.
