Consider the spirituality of walking—the simple, ordinary act of putting one foot in front of the other and carrying ourselves from here to there. Based on his upcoming book Walking: Slowing Down to Catch up, Buchanan will reflect on walking as the “physiology of faith,” a primary way we work out our bodies, our minds, our emotions, our relationships, our beliefs, and much else.
Mark Buchanan is the Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Ambrose University, as well as a pastor, author, and alumnus of Regent College. He is the author of numerous publications, including Your Church is Too Safe: Why Following Christ Turns the World Upside-Down, as well as regular contributions to Leadership Journal and Christianity Today.
This lecture is part of our 2019 Summer Evening Public Lecture Series.
Dr. Buchanan will be teaching the class “Swords into Ploughshares: The Theology & Practice of Reconciliation” from July 1–5, 2019 as part of our 2019 Summer Programs. Learn more at rgnt.net/summer.
