This inspiring event in downtown Vancouver will include original songs by Matt Maher, as well as music from the album Sanctuary Songs by The Porter’s Gate, releasing September 2023. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear about and support the work Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries is doing to equip the Church to support mental health and wellbeing.

About Matt Maher
Since his major-label debut in 2008, Matt Maher has become a staple in the artistic and songwriting community. A nine-time-GRAMMY® nominee and three-time-GMA Dove Award® winner, he has garnered multiple radio successes, writing and recording songs such as his Top 5 CCLI song “Lord, I Need You” and the chart-topping radio singles “Because He Lives (Amen)” and “Alive & Breathing.” Along with other hits such as “Hold Us Together,” “Christ Is Risen,” “All The People Said Amen,” and “Your Grace Is Enough,” Matt has written or co-written six number one radio singles. Matt is also Sanctuary’s newest ambassador. Check out his music video, “The In Between,” featured in the hit TV series, The Chosen.
About Jon and Valerie Guerra
Jon and Valerie Guerra perform as solo artists as well as together in the duo, Praytell. Jon Guerra is a singer-songwriter who writes devotional music. His debut album, Little Songs, released in 2015. He also composed music for Terrence Malick’s 2019 film, A Hidden Life. Other albums of his include Keeper of Days—an album of devotional music—and his latest release, Ordinary Ways (also featured in the recent podcast by Sanctuary Ambassador Hillary McBride, Holy/Hurt: A Podcast Exploring Spiritual Trauma and Healing). Valerie Strattan Guerra, a talented vocalist and musician, often joins her husband on collaborative work including in 2017 when they released their album Better Together and several Christmas albums including their most recent that debuted in 2022 titled, It’s Almost Christmas, Vol. 3. Both are frequent collaborators with The Porter’s Gate Worship Collective.
About Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries
Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries is a Christian non-profit based in Vancouver that equips the Church to support mental health and wellbeing. Sanctuary provides resources that meaningfully engage the topics of faith and mental health. The content is developed in collaboration with theologians, mental health professionals, and people with lived experience of mental health challenges. This event is hosted at The Centre for Performing Arts, home of Westside Church. It is a fully-equipped theatre with over 1,800 seats.
