- Speaker: Ron Ratzlaff, MCC Canada Board Chair
This year we are delighted to have Ron Ratzlaff as our speaker. Ron has been involved with MCC in a variety of roles over many decades, as Advancement Director for MCC British Columbia; country representative in Kenya with his wife, Martha; university instructor in Nigeria under MCC’s Teachers Abroad Program; and project consultant. Now retired, Ron spent 33 years as a business and technology leader for a wide range of companies. Ron lives in Cochrane, Alberta, with his wife Martha, and attends Dalhousie Church in Calgary. In December 2021, Ron was appointed as chair of MCC Canada Board of Directors, we are delighted to have him join us.
- Musician: Michael Jantzen, with Violinist Jennie Bice
We are also excited to introduce Fraser Valley recording artist, Michael Jantzen. Michael carves out his own space between folk and country. With his nuanced baritone and delicate guitar playing, he creates a distinct and inviting brand of roots music infused with personal stories, faith and West Coast imagery. His knack for weaving introspection into poetic narrative and stick-in-your head melodies has a way of getting listeners humming along and musing the meaning of their own journeys.
He is joined by fiddler extraordinaire, Jennie Bice, who has been making her indelible mark on the Canadian folk music scene for over two decades. With her uncanny ear for crafting the perfect melodic tapetry, she elevates songs to places so beautiful it’s surreal.
