Join Flavours of Hope and Kapé for a multicultural merienda (afternoon snacks and drinks) in solidarity with World Refugee Day to honour the strength, courage, and perseverance of millions of refugees.
This community event aims to highlight stories of refugee and immigrant women entrepreneurs, who have shown resilience and hope through their experiences of migration to Canada.
The afternoon merienda features Mexican savoury appetizers prepared by Chef Angeles, a delightful Filipino dessert platter from Kulinarya restaurant, and pourover Kapé Philippine coffee and cocktails. Over good food and drinks, we will invite people to share their thoughts and questions as we explore and challenge stereotypes and ideas of what it means to be a newcomer.
