Loren Wilkinson and others will be reading poems from Loren’s new collection, Imago Mundi, at the Chapel of the Epiphany, Monday, April 10th, at 7:30 pm.
The selected poems will revolve around themes of Holy Week and Easter. Musical interludes will feature the music of Palestrina.
Imago Mundi is Loren’s first published poetry collection. In it, Loren looks deeply into the geography of southwestern B.C., drawing wisdom from tides, beaches, seals, and farm equipment. He demonstrates a gift for revealing, as Eugene Peterson puts it, “the sounds and rhythms and metaphors that keep us alert to the ‘Word made flesh.’”
We hope you’ll join us in preparing our hearts and minds for Easter through poetry and music.
