Our Director of Coaching and Training, Cameron Keller, our Director of Programming [and Church Engagement], Terresa Augustine and a current Coach will be there to present about Sanctuary and answer any questions.

Sanctuary Coaches walk alongside a church community to provide mental health needs assessments, facilitation & coaching, visioning & goal setting, and care structure development. An honorarium is provided for the 8-10 hours of coaching time needed each month.
Applicants need experience in:
• mental health recovery (e.g. social worker, occupational therapist, psychologist, family member with Mental Health First Aid Training, and/or lived experience);
• engagement with a Christian community of any tradition with an ability to think through theological concepts;
• facilitation of informal or formal groups, either as a volunteer or professionally (e.g. Wellness Recovery Action Plan program, discipleship groups, organizational change processes).
Training involves:
• a multiple session process, typically scheduled over several weeks or months;
• integration of experience, knowledge and wisdom in the areas of mental health recovery, Christian spirituality, community structure and change;
• at least 20 hours of instruction/experiential learning and class time: – online learning with your cohort through discussion blogging – between-class readings to reinforce learnings and prepare for future topics – hands on experience through a supported practicum experience.
