We’re so excited to invite you to our virtual Christmas Gala. It will be a fun night hosted from the flagship Fluevog Shoestore in Gastown, Vancouver, on Thursday, December 3rd, 7:00-8:00 PM PST.
With the devastating events of 2020, the work of Sanctuary is more important than ever. According to the World Health Organization, COVID-19 “is increasing demand for mental health services. Bereavement, isolation, loss of income and fear are triggering mental health conditions or exacerbating existing ones.” We are all aware there is a great need for hearts, minds, and souls to be nurtured at this time—and at Sanctuary, we believe the Church has a lot to offer our hurting world.
At our gala, you will enjoy the stories, insights, and wisdom of our special guests and Sanctuary ambassadors, who value the work of Sanctuary during the pandemic and beyond. There will be a special appearance by Dr. Bonnie Henry…’s Fluevog shoes (we could only manage to get her shoes). You will also hear our latest update and see a preview of The Sanctuary Course for Catholics.
Sadly you can’t be with us in person, so we invite you to gather with family or friends, get dressed up, enjoy some canapés and drinks, and tune in live. If you’ve ever thought about buying a pair of Fluevog shoes, this is the perfect time to care for your soles! 50% of all proceeds from Fluevog Shoes purchased on the night (from 6:00-9:00 PM PST) will go to Sanctuary. And of course, 100% of donations through our website will support this important work.
