On Sunday Sept. 20th at 2:00pm, the Sentimental Journey Big Band will be performing LIVE at Knox United Church – and you’re invited!

Sentimental Journey Big Band’s story started 22 years ago when a group of musician friends were looking for a place to make music after their community bands had disbanded for the summer. Twenty-two years later, the band’s love for swing and Latin dance tunes of the Big Band Era lives on. The Sentimental Journey Big Band has played at numerous venues in the Greater Vancouver area and fundraisers for both Knox and the North Shore Children’s Crisis Center.
No matter who you are, we’re willing to bet you’ll be able to hum along to many of the instrumentals and vocals of the band’s performances. They’ll take you on a memorable, sentimental, and musical journey through some of the most beloved tunes of the Big Band Era and more!

Programme: Two 45-minute sessions with an intermission in between, during which refreshments will be served.
Proceeds from this event will go toward supporting First United Church’s ministry on the Downtown Eastside.
