Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, on which day events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and celebrated in more than 193 countries each year. Join us at St. Andrew’s to celebrate Earth Day on April 22 from 9 am – 1 pm. There will be something for everyone! Outside play and activities for the kids; home-made goodies and fair trade refreshments to whet your whistle; a public talk at noon by Kai Nagata on how to use citizens’ initiative to block Kinder Morgan (sponsored by Dogwood); videos and displays—plus the gardeners from St. Andrew’s Community Garden will be out in force planting their garden plots and grooming the communal herb garden in front of the CE building.
